10 riders joined us on a wet, dull Wed morning which continued wet for
the first half hour. However after that the skies cleared to give us
lovely run conditions via side roads to the Blue Rooms cafe at Abridge
where they had saved us some tables. Fortunately I had been warned about
Abridge bridge being closed the day before by Debbie the cafe manager so
we had a pre planned re-route. Lesson here yet again is to check your
route the day before. We then rode via Epping, North Weald Bassett &
Morton to the Green Man at Toot Hill for lunch. Again we were well
looked after by being given the conservatory dining area for our use
with good food & drinks. About a 45 mile run with no breakdowns or
incidents to mar the day. Sorry Simon no points this run for this years
unluckiest rider prize!
