Thanks to Simon for leading this run.
A beautiful sunny day as we all assembled in Maldon, where I had to fall on the compassion of others for money to fuel my bike. Forgot my wallet, Doh! Thank you to Simon for bailing me out.
A nice meander From Maldon to Hatfield Peverall, then the lanes to Little Baddow, onto the famous Beeliegh bends (I have tales to tell about teenage rides along this bit of road), Then Maldon again, Bicknacre and lanes to Hanningfield Reservoir for a lovely morning coffee. Thanks to Mandy for the capucino (No wallet!).
I headed home after this so I hope the rest of the ride went as well?

An excellent turnout today - I’m guessing the weather had something to do with it - 20 bikes and their riders plus four lady pillions , what is the world coming too! A nice stop at Hanningfield where a couple of lightweights (you know who you are!) bailed out early. The remainder continued and enjoyed a lovely ride through the twisties around Burnham and thence to the Parlour cafe at Creeksea where we were welcomed with open arms. Pretty soon after our arrival we were the only ones there -read into that what you will! Decent food at a reasonable price after which we made our way home, but not before my R75 decided it needed a lie down after its exertions! With the aid of a few trusty members we soon got it back up on its wheels though, and enjoyed a gentle meander back home.
Thanks to all those who attended today and to my trusty co pilots Dave and Pam for shepherding the troops.
Roll on next weeks ride when John Beckinsale is leading us to the Mixing shed at Wendons Ambo
