RIDE 16 SEPTEMBER 2026

A bright start to a slightly later start than usual. Stuart Strauss lead and Julian tail-ended, many thanks.

The run started at Battlesbridge with more and more riders turning up as it got closer to the off time. So 20 riders set off for Bradwell on Sea via the winding roads of the Dengie Hundreds. Perfect weather for a ride and apart from one closed road a good route. We arrived at the Bradwell Marina to find the cafe closed, so a delay until we got our teas, coffees and food BUT a good opportunity to chat. Oh, and to fix Simon's CX500. Apparenty the idle setting needed adjusting before he set off and the bike decided that one carb did not need its idle screw! Bodgit and Badgit effected a repair and I assume Simon got home ok!

At some point it was decided that it would be too late to continue to Norton Heath so people wended their own way home.
