The day started with fine weather that we were blessed with for the day. Twentytwo riders arrived. Just one lady rider Karen and three lady pillions Carol, Mandy and Nicki. There were a wide range of bikes from Mark's 1943 Canadian War Dept bike to modern classics. A world wide gathering from America, Spain, Germany, UK, India, Japan and China.
Paul Weston was lead rider with John Beckinsale taking on tailender duties. We set off from the usual Writtle car park. (Is the attraction the toilets?) A varied ride including single tracks to busy roads gave everyone a chance to test their skills. Arriving at an excellent new venue Easton Lodge for munchies. Moving on to north Essex arriving at The Crown, Little Waldon for lunch. Again a good venue with good food and service, with outside seating to enjoy the sunshine. Paul certainly organises good rides.
Time for me to go before it gets to busy getting back on to Canvey. Decided to go back quickest route and set Google maps on phone. Didn't realise that google had stopped working until I noticed sun behind me heading north. After several missed turnings including passing Rex going in opposite direction I managed to get home. Normal for me to get lost learnt not to worry about it. A good day.
